Down syndrome is a naturally occurring genetic condition caused by an extra copy of chromosome 21 - it is not a disease. People with Down syndrome learn, grow and participate in society; each has a unique personality and abilities, and they thrive when given a supportive environment and fair opportunities.
Our programs serve people with Down syndrome of all ages, their families and caregivers, alongside awareness and training programs for the community, professionals and educators.
